This weekend was so good to us. Lots of rest and catching up on family time. Totally low key and uneventful, but sometimes those kinds of weekends are the best!
On Sunday we had a really good service at church and then lunch at the Krasno household. My little sister’s birthday is today, so we celebrated early by taking her and Emma out. I remember when I was their ago…so much fun!
After the birthday shenanigans, we had some spa (sauna/jacuzzi/steam room) time at our local gym. I absolutely <3 Cal Fit! We ended the night with the tear-jerking season premiere of Duck Dynasty (<–BEST show EVER!!!). We love DD so much that we bought the episode on ITunes.
On Monday we awoke to the sound of raindrops. It was glorious. It rained on/off throughout the day, so we used that as an excuse to have another
lazy rest day.did do some baking…or roasting, if you want to be all technical. I roasted these vanilla bean pears, and topped them off with some honey ricotta cream. They were divine! The husband thinks that roasting something is the same as burning it, so I had all the yummy pears to myself! The smell of roasting pears wafting throughout the house made me consider taking out my scarves and boots, but then I looked up the weather forecast and changed my mind. Sunny days are ahead of us. I finished off the day with a run where I witnessed the most beautiful sun setting through the heavy clouds.
I’m looking forward to starting this week, rested and refreshed from the extra day.
Hope you guys had a fabulous weekend and a wonderful Tuesday!
