“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. John 15
The take home message this weekend for me was to abide in the source: My Jesus! I did a lil doodle up above. When I think of a gardner I think of someone hovering over a plant/ tree pouring water, tilling the soil & trimming the branches. I am that branch. And oh how I want to have fruit that brings glory to my gardener. If we abide in other sources for water and nourishment we cannot bear fruit. If we choose to remain in HIM; the beautiful outcome is a branch rich in nourishment, perfect in form, and one that produces an “organic fruit”. The Lord wants so much for us to allow him to garden over our lives.
What was your take home message this weekend? I do love hearing about them!
